The opportunity to take on this exciting project is still less than a week old, yet we've already pulled the body, and the chassis and engine are enroute to the shop for teardown.  It's going to be a busy weekend!

We're excited to be working with our Bonneville sponsor CP/Carrillo to create a set of lightweight, coated, forged pistons for Patrick's Peking to Paris build. These will have a modern ring pack and wrist pin, and work perfectly with stock rods. Once the design has been finalized, they will be available for 218/230s and 241/265s only through moparmontana.com

Chris dug through the engine pile out at the Ranch and found this beautiful standard bore 230 that will be the heart of the Peking to Paris build.  Tony will be picking it up this week to take it to the machine shop to start the machine work!

1933 TJ Richards-bodied Dodge Roadster Build for 2019 Peking to Paris Rally

1/22/2018

Comments

We have been hired by a gentleman in Belgium to prepare this gorgeous TJ Richards-bodied 1933 Dodge roadster to compete in the 2019 Peking to Paris Rally. If not familiar, this arduous 8000 mile trek is truly something you must learn more about.
The project will start with a NOS 230 industrial block, and be built with our speed parts, our new T5 transmission adapter, and many other period-correct upgrades.
Not only an honor, but an incredible opportunity to showcase the performance and durability of our workmanship and products. ...not to mention that the Montana roads will be good practice for the Mongolian desert!  Stay tuned!
